All Grayed Out

In the continued and everlasting process of learning about web pages, the concept of layer opacity sprung up just today. It can be a very useful technique when used well, and the idea of graying out a web page while certain layers are shown is one such method.

This is being tested on the page for Photagrizzly Man, specifically the links for More Movies and the Names Database. When either of those links are clicked and the appropriate layer appears, the remainder of the page will be darkened, or "grayed out." Until something new happens within that layer, even clicking the close box, nothing else will be accessible. This is an experiment... Try it out!

Humboldterama

A few months ago, when I went with a friend to Humboldt, I took waaay too many pics. Now I've chosen the best of the bunch and posted them at GPicturama for all to see! Because so many pics were taken throughout the trip, including of a wedding and the Avenue of the Giants, it's the first time one posting includes two pages!
I also dinked around with a few settings there... Check it out!

Not The Last Upload

Now, another film is live on YouTube: The Last Kiss.  It is viewable, like all the others so far, straight from it's official page (here) through its embedded coding, as well as from YouTube direct.
Additionally, the social bookmarking test with movie pages has been deemed a success, and will be applied to more pages over the coming days.
