Beautiful Oscars

According to Yahoo! News, it was announced today that next year's Academy Awards will be produced by Bruce Cohen and Don Mischer. Bruce Cohen was a producer of American Beauty, so I am wagging my tail already.

Still can't believe it's been more than 10 years since that picture premiered. Time sure zips by lately...

Upgrades a Comin'

Somethin' big's a changin'... Upgrades are probably coming soon. Not only has Zymic not been participating for two weeks and counting, but my main site seems to be getting a bit expensive these days. Can't just let this mess continue!

In the mean time, one YouTube clip surpassed another regarding quantity of views! The clips for King Who Rained and Tons of Sugar Cereal now have 843 and 841, respectively.

400, Pt. 3 (+7K!)

More and more Thomas Productions films have 400 or more views on YouTube! The latest ones to reach this status were Part 2 of Three Shorts... (with 406 views) and my Directing Demo Reel (with 403 views).

This does not forget the continued amazing feat of Scenes from Being John Malkovich, which has nearly achieved 7,000 views (with 6,988 and counting)! The current list with 400 or more views is as follows:

Least a Week

Alright, I've found out the issue:

  "Unfortunately uuuq.com sites beginning with the following characters: 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, a, b, c, d, e, f, g will be offline until at least a week's time; due to an unforeseen hard disk drive failure, all data is unreadable at this time, we are sending this drive off for professional data recovery to recover lost data."  

That text was found at http://www.zymic.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=23385. It, of course, accords to my site, starting with 'd'. And this, of course, is what I should expect from a free site. Perhaps, soon, I should find a site once and for all that has everything I need.

In the mean time, much of my data is elsewhere online already, for movies and GPicturama, and all the rest is simply on my own machine. So, at least I know my data isn't lost...
