Digital Revolution

During the past weekend, I was taught quite a bit through the usage of this feller:

And it's not merely the filming at Gizdich Ranch that taught things (although it was extremely nice to film in HD).  I'm talking about Firewire capabilities!  When I was a college student, the university had an editing lab with a MiniDV deck that was controllable from the computers Macs in there.  This made using features such as "Batch Capture" (for digitizing video) much simpler and more automated.
Meanwhile, if I ever would need to import video at home, since the dawn of time, I've be using any of several composite video boards, in part because I believed that was all my personal camera was capable of.  WRONG!
I knew my camera had a DV wire slot, but I learned this weekend that in using it, my personal camera also becomes a controllable device by my computer.  Sweet!
Thar's a nice li'l novella for ya...  Now shoo!

50th New News Posting

In the midst of announcing the latest GPicturama publication, it just so happens that this is the 50th New News Blog Post! Took just over 1/2 a year to reach, which really is quite amazing in retrospect.

Anyhoo, the latest GPicturama addition regards Edgewood Park Nature Preserve, and an attempt to find an anticipated bench a few miles inward. It's worth checking out.

As an unrelated added bonus, watch this Katie Couric interview clip with Sarah Palin, and then you should understand that there's ABSOLUTELY NO REASON why the McCain / Palin duo should EVER reach the White House.

New Site Entry

Despite being completed last year, there was no site page for Gizdich Ranch: Tour of the Juicery... until now.

It's now there, so check it out! Now, I must do the same for Cannery Row Documentary, which we didn't produce, but I was the cinematographer for. Kinda like with my positions in The Perfect Lie and El Despertamiento, it will be more for resumé purposes to document my involvement. Hrm... Maybe the layout of the site could include another category... Just a thought.

3 Shorts Finally Posted

Finally, Three Shorts: Commentary on Society (2003) has been posted at YouTube! It's in three parts due to time constraints, and there are now new credits that implement more unused clips captured for the film in a "secret" fourth short. Watch 'em below!

Also, in the hectic site melodrama currently going on, I've put the News Blog back at directorG.com, and have decided to start moving images instead. It shouldn't redirect any actual page URLs, but I'll keep you posted, as is the purpose of a News Blog!

TV Commercial!

Remember the last 2 times Thomas Productions has created projects for Gizdich Ranch in Watsonville, CA?
Well, third time's the charm!  Got the call this weekend from their ranch to soon help create for them an updated television commercial!
Very excited.
Oh yeah, and now this News Blog is housed @ directorG2.com, since it seems to be taking up a lot of space.

Wowsers, 6 Months!

Holy mama, it's been 6 months to the day since this new News Blog began! Well, there are at least a few things to celebrate!

First, the Production Photos segment of Photagrizzly Man (2007) is practically finished! It's the second film on this site to take on the scrolling effect applied to The Nightmare (2007) just a few weeks ago.
Second, the Social Bookmarking feature from addthis.com (which already is in use on this blog) is now starting to be applied to movie pages! It's much, much, much simpler to utilize!

Three Shorts is coming to YouTube soon... It must be broken into pieces first, though, to fit the time limit. Give it time, and some tender loving care! (Or give it a week.)

GThieferama

Yup, that's right. More Production Pics have been added to GPicturama, this time for Thief (2006)! I don't know why I didn't do this naturally with all the movies since Three Shorts...

It's in the plans to do like with The Nightmare where these images will be accessible in scrollable form soon. So much to do, so much in mind...
